The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) TravelTour Expo is an annual event that attracts thousands of travel junkies who are after the best deals for local and international destinations.
This year, it’s happening on February 9 to 11, 2018, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Around 140,000 visitors are expected to visit, but with over 900 booths for airlines, hotels, tour partners, resorts, and several other agencies, there should be plenty for everyone to choose from.
Before you make your way to SMX, take a look at the long list of exhibitors from PTAA here so you know what to expect at the event, and where to spend your time efficiently.
Make sure you have your vacation details ready (such as the number of seats you need and the kind of accommodations you want) and get the best deals for your group.
When you book large tourism packages or pay using your credit or debit card, the agent may ask to see some form of identification to confirm your customer details. Bring government-issued IDs like your passport, driver’s license, TIN ID, postal or voter’s ID. For minors 14 to 17 years old, a school ID with a birth certificate is also accepted as official identification.
Booking several airline tickets can cost quite a bit of money, even if you are getting them on sale. It’s safer and more convenient to bring a Visa or MasterCard with you to the event, so you can make secure payments without worrying about thick bundles of cash amid the thousands of expo-goers.
If you don’t have a credit card, digital payment providers like Maya (and its prepaid Visa debit card) will make your shopping and booking a lot easier.
Prepare to spend P70 for a general admission ticket to the expo. (Senior citizens get a discounted ticket for P50.)
