The holiday season brings with it an endless round of parties, reunions, and food trips—which inevitably leads to a few added pounds.
Try out one of these fitness centers to get back into shape for the new year!
The Upper Deck Wellness Center

Gym highlight: The Upper Deck is an all-around fitness and wellness center made especially for those who want to try a variety of workouts. Their facility houses a fitness gym, basketball and badminton courts, dance studios, and a boxing ring. They also have a spa and a sports bar.
Programs offered: Boxing, badminton, and muscle toning sessions. You can also request for a trainer to design a weight training program specifically for you.
Rates: Court rentals cost P2,000 per hour, and yoga classes cost P12,000 for a year’s worth of unlimited group classes. Monthly gym membership costs P3,500, but they also offer a yearly rate of P21,600 (P,1800/month). There’s also a First Time Tryout rate of P450, valid on your first day.
Schedule: Open daily from 6 AM to 12 AM. Check their Facebook page or call ahead to inquire about specific class schedules.
Ride Revolution

Gym highlight: Ride Revolution allows for all the benefits of cycling in a safe and controlled environment. Aside from losing all the holiday pounds, continuous cycling can also improve your hand-to-eye and arms-to-legs coordination.
Programs offered: This indoor cycling studio offers 50-minute strength and calorie-busting cycling sessions.
Rates: First Timer’s promo is P1,100 for two weeks’ worth of unlimited classes. They also have special package rates of P5,000 for five classes, and P9,500 for 10 classes.
Schedule: They hold classes every day, and time slots vary. Check out their website for weekly updates
Crossfit Manila

Gym highlight: Aside from individual workouts, they also organize team building and corporate wellness events. You can choose to either hold your group workout session at the nearest Crossfit Manila gym or you can arrange to have a team of coaches come over to your office.
Programs Offered: Crossfit Manila offers three programs: Foundations, a Crossfit introduction program; WOD or Workout of the Day, specially designed daily workout routines; and Bootcamp, a series of high-intensity activities without using weights.
Rates: Basic Foundation classes start at P1,500. WOD classes cost P5,500 per month for unlimited classes, and Bootcamp classes cost P4,500 per month for unlimited classes. For beginners who want to test out the Crossfit program, they have trial classes for only P300.
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM with each class lasting an hour. Schedules often change without prior notice so make sure to check their website if you plan on booking a session.
KMA Fitness and Martial Arts

Gym highlight: KMA’s instructors are qualified specialists in their respective fields and have trained and competed in various parts of the globe.
Programs Offered: They offer Mixed Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Fitness Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo.
Rates: Membership packages go for as low as P1,950 per month. If you can’t commit to a full month of workouts, they also have a daily rate of P650 for non-members and P550 for members.
Schedule: The KMA facility is open from Monday to Friday (from 7 AM to 9 PM), Saturday (7 AM to 7 PM) and Sunday (8 AM to 4 PM). They are even open on holidays (7 AM to 5 PM)!
