We’ve all received Christmas gifts that we did not appreciate too much for various reasons—either we already owned something like it or it simply wasn’t our style. But since we were taught that it’s the thought that counts, we accepted them with a grin and still put them to good use.

If it’s flat and rectangular, the gift is most likely a picture frame or a photo album! As kids or teens, we rarely appreciated keepsakes, but now that we’re older, we’ve been to more adventures that are worth documenting.

#3 Next Year’s Planner

As youngins, we enjoyed starting the year by writing on clean, fresh pages of notebooks.
