Countdown To The Last Jedi: Explore The Star Wars App
We’re down to the last few hours before Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters here in the Philippines.
Whether you’re seeing it at 12 midnight or sometime later in the week, download the official Star Wars app to keep yourself entertained until you catch it in the cinemas.
First released in 2015, the app has since developed into the ultimate ticket into the world of Star Wars. Here’s a list of the activities that you can do within the app.
Browse the Star Wars Newsfeed
Click the headline ticker at the top of the app screen, the “Official News” tab, or the “Official Videos” tab to get the latest Star Wars articles, interviews, videos, quizzes, pre-order options for official merchandise, and more from social media!
Tip: Customize your in-app feed by choosing from sources like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, or Tumblr.
Take and Share a Star Wars Selfie
The easily located “Selfie” tab contains preset backgrounds that you can play with! Now, you can be a Jedi Knight, Princess Leia, Han Solo, or Jyn Erso… at least within a photo. We can’t wait for the patch that will bring us the Rey and Kylo Ren options.
Tip: Press the lightsaber option multiple times in the Jedi background preset to change its color!
Copy Star Wars GIFs and emojis to send on Social Media
A tap on any of the GIFs or emojis within the “GIFs + Emojis” tab copies it to your clipboard. Share them on the social media or messaging app of your choice!
Tip: Insert BB-8, Rey, or R2-D2 into your existing pictures with the “Stickers” tab!
Discover a new Star Wars Fun Fact every day
Did you know that Twentieth Century Fox officially green-lighted Star Wars on December 13, 1975? Find out something new every day from “This Day in Star Wars History,” found at the top right corner of your app!
Count the days to the next movie releases
Right underneath “This Day in Star Wars History” is a countdown ticker to the latest movie, The Last Jedi.
Tapping the ticker will also show you countdowns to future movies like Solo: A Star Wars Story and Episode IX.
Play clips from the Sound Board archive
Replay sound effects and recorded quotes (“It’s a trap!”) from various Star Wars movies in the “Sound Board” tab. Sadly, you can’t export these sound clips, but you can drag your favorites to a separate tab for easy access.
These are just the tip of the iceberg. Download the app today for free on Android and iOSto explore all its features.
