Get Cashback or FREE Bitcoin when you pay with Maya

Overview:

1. Promo period is from January 1-31, 2023.
2. This promo is open to all upgraded Maya consumer accounts who will Pay with Maya:
   1. Login to pay with your Maya Number online at our partner merchants and stores via web checkout page.
   2. Scan to Pay QR with Maya at our partner online & retail merchants.
   3. Pay with Maya Card (Virtual or Physical VISA/Mastercard) when you shop online or in retail.
3. Minimum spend required to qualify are as follows:
   1. Pay with Maya Number: P100 per transaction; or
   2. Pay with Maya QR: P100 per transaction; or
   3. Pay with Maya Card: P800 per transaction.
4. This promo is applicable to Maya consumer accountholders who are currently residing in the Philippines and have valid and unique upgraded Maya accounts.
5. Each qualified and verified Maya payment (Number, Card or QR) corresponds to guaranteed rewards in the form of Bitcoin (“Free Bitcoin”) or cashback.
6. Each Maya payment must be validated, posted or settled within the system to qualify for the promo. Transactions are not considered to be qualified in the event that a Maya number, card or QR payment is cancelled, declined, refunded or voided.
7. Prior to the start of the next calendar month, Maya users will be given an option to choose between Free Bitcoin or cashback rewards when they open their Maya app.
   1. If a user decides to select FREE Bitcoin, he/she will receive this reward type for the whole duration of the succeeding month.
   2. If a user decides to select cashback, he/she will receive this reward type for the whole duration of the succeeding month.

On the Free Bitcoin reward option:

8. For each qualified Maya payment made during the promo period, users will receive ‘Free Bitcoin’ or cashback in the form of Bitcoin (BTC) amounting to one of the following: 
   1. 1% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
   2. 10% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
   3. 100% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
9. Users who have bought or sold crypto in Maya on or before December 26, 2022 are entitled to Free Bitcoin as the default reward option throughout the given month.
10. Qualified users may receive up to a maximum of PHP200 worth of their purchase/s back in BTC each month.
11. Users will receive a push notification or SMS once the reward is successfully credited.
12. The value of BTC may change based on the current market prices after the reward is credited to the user’s Maya Crypto Portfolio due to volatility of BTC.
13. To view the Free Bitcoin rewards, follow these steps:
    1. Open the Maya app and tap ‘Crypto’
    2. Users will be prompted with a pop out of their reward/s
    3. All Free Bitcoin rewards are highlighted and reflected on the Crypto Transaction History screen.
    4. After tapping on a particular Free Bitcoin transaction, users can view the details of their reward (PHP equivalent, market rate at the time of conversion, etc.)
14. Users may qualify for the BTC reward multiple times, as long as the maximum Free Bitcoin rewards amounting to PHP200 each month has not been met. After which, succeeding transactions in the same period will no longer be rewarded.
15. Qualified users may receive their Free Bitcoin any time after their valid transaction to up to thirty (30) business days after the promo period (e.g upon settlement with merchant for Maya card payments, upon validation of payments within Maya’s system, Internet/Data Network provider delays, etc.)

On the cashback reward option:

16. For each qualified Maya payment made during the promo period, users will receive cashback amounting to one of the following: 
    1. 1% of the total qualified transaction in PHP
    2. 10% of the total qualified transaction in PHP
    3. 100% of the total qualified transaction in PHP 
17. Users who have not bought or sold crypto in Maya are entitled to cashback as the default reward option throughout the given month.
18. Qualified users may receive up to a maximum of PHP200 cashback each month.
19. Users will receive a notification of the voucher redemption via SMS.
20. Qualified users will receive their cashback voucher in the Maya app.
    1. To redeem the cashback voucher, follow these steps:
    2. Open the Maya app and log in to your account.
    3. Tap “Vouchers” on the home screen.
    4. Select the voucher you want to redeem under “Available” and tap “Claim.”
    5. Review the details and amount of the voucher and tap “Claim Now.”.
    6. Redeemed voucher amount will be reflected in your Maya account balance.
21. Users may qualify for the reward multiple times, as long as the maximum cashback rewards amounting to PHP200 each month has not been met. After which, succeeding transactions in the same period will no longer be rewarded.
22. Qualified users may receive their cashback any time after their valid transaction to up to thirty (30) business days after the promo period.

General:

23. Users are entitled to one type of reward only, either Free Bitcoin or cashback, in a given month. (e.g for any qualified payment, users can only receive one reward type and are unable to receive both rewards simultaneously)
24. Multiple transactions/payments made from the same device using different mobile numbers will not be considered valid.
25. Maya users with merchant accounts and those under Maya Negosyo and Maya Business Manager (formerly PayMaya Business Manager or PBM) are disqualified from participating in this promo.
26. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) made to Maya Negosyo and Maya Business Manager merchants or submerchants are not qualified for the promo.
27. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) made to Donation Billers, E-Sabong, Schools, other apps with wallet or e-wallet capabilities (such as but not limited to Lazada, ShopeePay, etc.) and Government merchants will not be qualified for the promo.
28. Payments made to or purchases of cash equivalent instruments, financial institutions, financial assets, insurances, ATM withdrawals, gambling/gaming chips, and other quasi cash transactions are also not qualified for the promo.
29. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) or transactions made to merchants within the crypto space are not qualified for the promo. (e.g PDAX cash-in, other VASPs to be enabled where Maya payments are accepted, etc.)
30. Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos
31. Maya users with duplicate accounts cannot participate in this promo. Maya reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the prize or benefit if proven to be a duplicate account.
32. Maya accountholders who are blacklisted due to a violation of a Maya promo, or who has violated or is subsequently found to be in violation of any of the terms and conditions of Maya are not qualified to participate in this promo.
33. Those who are suspected of or are found out to be abusing the Maya system or are suspected of committing fraudulent acts to abuse the system are also not qualified to participate in the promo or receive rewards.
34. Maya reserves the right to withhold granting of rewards where there is a suspected or suspicious customer activity that requires further investigation.
35. If a prize or benefit has already been awarded and the violation or fraudulent activity is discovered after being awarded, Maya shall have the right to clawback the prize or reward given.
36. Should the qualified transaction be cancelled, voided, refunded or declined, whether the cancellation is customer, biller or merchant-initiated, Maya reserves the right to withdraw the rewards equivalent to the cancelled payment transaction, even if the rewards has already been credited. Maya reserves the right to debit any points/reward credited from your balance. If your balance is insufficient to cover the amount to be withdrawn at the time of withdrawal, Maya reserves the right to debit the balance not withdrawn when your balance is sufficient.
37. All regular and contractual employees of Maya Philippines, Inc., Maya Bank, Inc., Voyager Innovations, Inc. and the MVP Group of Companies, including their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.
38. All Maya users must follow strict compliance with mandatory social distancing requirements as imposed by the Philippine government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. For your health and safety, always remember to maintain spacing of at least 1 meter in diameter between you and other people while in public areas.
