FREE Bitcoin or Cashback when you pay with Maya via Number, Card or QR!

Overview:

1. Promo period is from August 19 – September 30, 2022; extended until December 31, 2022 as approved by DTI-FTEB.
2. This promo is open to all upgraded Maya consumer accounts who will Pay with Maya:
   1. Login to pay with your Maya Number online at our partner merchants and stores via web checkout page.
   2. Scan to Pay QR with Maya at our partner online & retail merchants.
   3. Pay with Maya Card (Virtual or Physical VISA/Mastercard) when you shop online or in retail.
3. Minimum spend required to qualify are as follows:
   1. Pay with Maya Number: P100 per transaction; or
   2. Pay with Maya QR: P100 per transaction; or
   3. Pay with Maya Card: P800 per transaction.
4. This promo is applicable to Maya consumer accountholders who are currently residing in the Philippines and have valid and unique upgraded Maya accounts.
5. Each qualified and verified Maya payment (Number, Card or QR) corresponds to guaranteed rewards in the form of Bitcoin (“Free Bitcoin”) or cashback and 1 raffle entry for a chance to win P1M worth of Bitcoin or cashback.
6. Each Maya payment must be validated, posted or settled within the system to qualify for the promo. Transactions are not considered to be qualified in the event that a Maya number, card or QR payment is cancelled, declined, refunded or voided.
7. Prior to the start of the next calendar month, Maya users will be given an option to choose between Free Bitcoin or cashback rewards when they open their Maya app.
   1. If a user decides to select FREE Bitcoin, he/she will receive this reward type for the whole duration of the succeeding month.
   2. If a user decides to select cashback, he/she will receive this reward type for the whole duration of the succeeding month.

On the Free Bitcoin reward option:

8. For each qualified Maya payment made during the promo period, users will receive ‘Free Bitcoin’ or cashback in the form of Bitcoin (BTC) amounting to one of the following: 
   1. 1% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
   2. 10% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
   3. 100% of the total qualified transaction in PHP to be converted by Maya’s system into BTC based on the market rate specific to the time of disbursement of the reward.
9. Users who have bought or sold crypto in Maya on or before November 25, 2022 are entitled to Free Bitcoin as the default reward option throughout the given month.
10. Qualified users may receive up to a maximum of PHP500 worth of their purchase/s back in BTC each month.
11. Users will receive a push notification or SMS once the reward is successfully credited.
12. The value of BTC may change based on the current market prices after the reward is credited to the user’s Maya Crypto Portfolio due to volatility of BTC.
13. To view the Free Bitcoin rewards, follow these steps:
    1. Open the Maya app and tap ‘Crypto’
    2. Users will be prompted with a pop out of their reward/s
    3. All Free Bitcoin rewards are highlighted and reflected on the Crypto Transaction History screen.
    4. After tapping on a particular Free Bitcoin transaction, users can view the details of their reward (PHP equivalent, market rate at the time of conversion, etc.)
14. Users may qualify for the BTC reward multiple times, as long as the maximum Free Bitcoin rewards amounting to PHP500 each month has not been met. After which, succeeding transactions in the same period will no longer be rewarded.
15. Qualified users may receive their Free Bitcoin any time after their valid transaction to up to thirty (30) business days after the promo period (e.g upon settlement with merchant for Maya card payments, upon validation of payments within Maya’s system, Internet/Data Network provider delays, etc.)

On the cashback reward option:

16. For each qualified Maya payment made during the promo period, users will receive cashback amounting to one of the following: 
    1. 1% of the total qualified transaction in PHP
    2. 10% of the total qualified transaction in PHP
    3. 100% of the total qualified transaction in PHP 
17. Users who have not bought or sold crypto in Maya are entitled to cashback as the default reward option throughout the given month.
18. Qualified users may receive up to a maximum of PHP500 cashback each month.
19. Users will receive a notification of the voucher redemption via SMS.
20. Qualified users will receive their cashback voucher in the Maya app.
    1. To redeem the cashback voucher, follow these steps:
    2. Open the Maya app and log in to your account.
    3. Tap “Vouchers” on the home screen.
    4. Select the voucher you want to redeem under “Available” and tap “Claim.”
    5. Review the details and amount of the voucher and tap “Claim Now.”.
    6. Redeemed voucher amount will be reflected in your Maya account balance.
21. Users may qualify for the reward multiple times, as long as the maximum cashback rewards amounting to PHP500 each month has not been met. After which, succeeding transactions in the same period will no longer be rewarded.
22. Qualified users may receive their cashback any time after their valid transaction to up to thirty (30) business days after the promo period.

On the 1M worth of BTC or Cashback raffle:

23. For each qualified Maya payment made during the promo period, users will also earn one (1) raffle entry for a chance to win PHP1 Million worth of BTC or Cashback during the raffle draw.
    1. Example: User has two (2) qualified transactions worth at least P800 via Maya card and at least P100 via Maya Number payment resulting in two (2) raffle entries.
24. Users can earn multiple raffle entries during the promo period and only after the necessary transactions are validated and posted.
25. Qualified users may win only once regardless of the number of raffle entries earned during the entire promo period. Non-winning raffle entries will be included in succeeding raffle draws (if applicable).
26. Each qualified user can get a chance to win one of the following prize/s:

27. Users will be notified of the status of their raffle entries via Push Notification and SMS (upon systems verification and once the rewards are credited)
28. The raffle draws, which will be with the participation of a DTI representative, and announcement of winners through Maya’s social media account/s are based on the following schedule:

29. Every raffle draw will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with a DTI representative. The promo organizer’s decision to award the prizes to the selected winners is final with the concurrence of DTI-FTEB.
30. Only users with upgraded Maya accounts can get a chance to win raffle prizes. A user whose mobile number or name was drawn but does not have an upgraded account will not be considered a winner.
31. The names of all the winner/s will be announced on the Official Maya Facebook page.
32. Maya will reach out to the winner/s within seven (7) business days after the announcement has been made on social media.
33. All winner/s will be notified via in-app pushes or phone call to their Maya-registered mobile number. A Maya representative shall get in touch with the winner/s to verify their identity and to give further instructions on prize redemption.
34. Maya will buy the Bitcoin raffle prize for the prospective winners at the time it will be credited to their Maya Crypto Portfolio based on the given market rate/price at the time of crediting.
35. Raffle prizes will be credited to the winner/s’ Maya Crypto Portfolio within thirty (30) business days after Maya reached out to them, provided that the users agreed to the terms & conditions of the promo.
36. Prizes are non-transferable.
37. Maya shall shoulder the 20% withholding tax for prizes exceeding P10,000.
38. Redemption period of prizes is until 60 days upon receipt of notification.
39. Deadline of submission and acceptance of raffle entries are as follows:
    1. September 30, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM.
    2. October 31, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM
    3. November 30, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM
    4. December 31, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM
40. Failure to comply with any of the requirements or the terms and conditions herein, will have the winners forfeit their winnings with prior approval from the DTI-FTEB.
41. The raffle winners are required to be interviewed and featured in announcements to be made by Maya regarding the promo in any of the following channels: website, social media, print and online media.
42. Videos and photos of participants may be used only for promotional ads related to this campaign.

General:

43. Users are entitled to one type of reward only, either Free Bitcoin or cashback, in a given month. (e.g for any qualified payment, users can only receive one reward type and are unable to receive both rewards simultaneously)
44. Multiple transactions/payments made from the same device using different mobile numbers will not be considered valid.
45. Maya users with merchant accounts and those under Maya Negosyo and Maya Business Manager (formerly PayMaya Business Manager or PBM) are disqualified from participating in this promo.
46. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) made to Maya Negosyo and Maya Business Manager merchants or submerchants are not qualified for the promo.
47. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) made to Donation Billers, E-Sabong, Schools, other apps with wallet or e-wallet capabilities (such as but not limited to Lazada, ShopeePay, etc.) and Government merchants will not be qualified for the promo.
48. Payments made to or purchases of cash equivalent instruments, financial institutions, financial assets, insurances, ATM withdrawals, gambling/gaming chips, and other quasi cash transactions are also not qualified for the promo.
49. Maya payments (Maya number, Maya QR or Maya card) or transactions made to merchants within the crypto space are not qualified for the promo. (e.g PDAX cash-in, other VASPs to be enabled where Maya payments are accepted, etc.)
50. Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos
51. Maya users with duplicate accounts cannot participate in this promo/raffle. Maya reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the prize or benefit if proven to be a duplicate account.
52. Maya accountholders who are blacklisted due to a violation of a Maya promo, or who has violated or is subsequently found to be in violation of any of the terms and conditions of Maya are not qualified to participate in this promo.
53. Those who are suspected of or are found out to be abusing the Maya system or are suspected of committing fraudulent acts to abuse the system are also not qualified to participate in the promo or receive rewards.
54. Maya reserves the right to withhold granting of rewards where there is a suspected or suspicious customer activity that requires further investigation.
55. If a prize or benefit has already been awarded and the violation or fraudulent activity is discovered after being awarded, Maya shall have the right to clawback the prize or reward given.
56. Should the qualified transaction be cancelled, voided, refunded or declined, whether the cancellation is customer, biller or merchant-initiated, Maya reserves the right to withdraw the rewards equivalent to the cancelled payment transaction, even if the rewards has already been credited. Maya reserves the right to debit any points/reward credited from your balance. If your balance is insufficient to cover the amount to be withdrawn at the time of withdrawal, Maya reserves the right to debit the balance not withdrawn when your balance is sufficient.
57. All regular and contractual employees of PayMaya Philippines, Inc., Maya Bank, Inc., Voyager Innovations, Inc. and the MVP Group of Companies, including their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion/raffle.
58. All Maya users must follow strict compliance with mandatory social distancing requirements as imposed by the Philippine government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. For your health and safety, always remember to maintain spacing of at least 1 meter in diameter between you and other people while in public areas.
