PeraHub's story began in 2015, when Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) acquired a 51% stake in PETNET, one of the Philippines' premier urgent transaction centers. To better define the company and increase its relevance to consumers, PETNET rebranded its retail network to PeraHub in April 2016. Then, in 2018, AEV sold its 51% stake in PETNET to City Savings Bank (CSB) and Union Properties, Inc. (UPI). This is to consolidate all of Aboitiz Group's financial services under one umbrella.
With more than 3,000 locations in the country, PeraHub is able to provide millions of Filipinos with high-quality payment and payment-related solutions. In an effort to continuously evolve and deliver top-notch services to the public, PeraHub through PETNET received its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification in 2017.
PeraHub has a wide range of services beyond local and international money remittance. These include foreign exchange, bills payment, and micro-loans. You've got questions? We've got answers.
Using your PayMaya app on your phone, input the amount you want to cash in and a barcode will be generated for your request. The cashier of your preferred PeraHub branch will scan the barcode to complete the process. You can then expect an SMS message confirming that the transaction has been successful.
When you opt for cashless money transfers, you also protect yourself and your family against infections. By using the PayMaya app, you can send money to your loved ones, shop online, and pay for your utility bills without leaving your home—keeping physical contact to a minimum.
The 2% cash in fee acts as a service fee when you add money via over-the-counter channels. Keep in mind that the amount will later on be refunded to your PayMaya account if you do not go beyond the Php 10,000.00 threshold for that month.
You can also use digital channels including online and mobile banking for safe cash in experience. With the current pandemic, using digital channels is recommended to reduce physically handling cash and in-person transactions.
You can check the update on your PayMaya app’s activity list and see the all successful Cash In transactions. Here, you can inspect if your account has been credited with the correct amount along with the charged service fee.
Regular PayMaya accounts have a cash in limit of Php 50,000.00 per month. You can increase this monthly cap by fully upgrading your account and enjoy a Php 100,000.00 cash in limit every month. If you want to upgrade your account, you can visit this page.
To view your current monthly cash in and check your limit, you can follow these steps:
Take note that monthly limits will reset on the first day of the succeeding month and daily limits reset the following day.
Yes, you can expect a 2% cash in fee each time you add money to your PayMaya account through any PeraHub branch. However, this only applies when you have reached the Php 10,000.00 monthly threshold. Otherwise, the 2% will be credited back to your account within 24 hours.
Once you have exceeded Php 10,000.00 cash in for a particular month, then the 2% will serve as the convenience fee and won’t be refunded to your account.
It’s very easy to cash in or add money to your PayMaya account through your chosen PeraHub branch. Simply follow these steps:
And that’s all it takes to add money to your PayMaya account at any PeraHub branch. Now, you can enjoy the cashless convenience PayMaya provides.
There is a set 2% cash in fee every time you add money to your account, which will be deducted from your total cash in amount if you have exceeded the Php 10,000.00 monthly cash in threshold.
For example, you want to cash in Php 1,000 to your PayMaya account via PeraHub. You will be credited with 2% less of the overall amount. Here’s a sample computation to better understand it:
Php 1,000 x 2% = Php 20.00
Php 1,000 - Php 20.00 = Php 980.00
When you cash in Php 1,000 at the PeraHub cashier, your PayMaya account will be credited with Php 980.00. However, the Php 20.00 will be returned to your account, as long as you have not reached your monthly Php 10,000.00 threshold via PayMaya refund.
Once you have gone beyond the Php 10,000.00 threshold for the month, you will not receive the 2% convenience fee. In this example, the Php 20.00 will serve as the transaction’s processing fee. You will continue to have nun-refundable cash in fees until the next month when your monthly cap will reset, only then will you received cash in fee refunds.
Make sure you don’t exceed your monthly threshold of Php 10,000.00 to qualify for a cash in rebate, but this only applies when you cash in through channels that charge a service fee. To keep track of your cash in limits, regularly check your PayMaya apps’s Account Limits page.
